Canon EOS RP Info:

The programmable mode dial is a very important feature for me, as I prefer manual selection dial usage during my shoots. Second, the cost differential supported the RP’s selection because the nuance differences in capabilities more that justified it’s choice. The mirrorless feature makes this camera small, compact, and tough. I appreciate its size when packing for a trip, although I do take a variety of lenses with me. The adapter that came with the camera is a godsend as I’m able to use all my EF and EF-S lenses for any shot settings.  The full frame capability was the final factor in selecting this camera as a new purchase. Although I previously owned a 5D MKIII, I know the RP takes better pictures. Perhaps that’s due to the updated technology, but the difference is noticeable. I will say this camera is extremely simple to use, if you are familiar with all the buttons. Canon enthusiasts will easily transition into this device as its operation is very similar to other Canon cameras. While some may describe it as an entry level full frame camera, I found it to be much more. It is definitely a professional camera for those who work at that level. This is an outstanding camera for anyone no matter your expertise. If this is your first camera or you are new to photography read your technical manual and then order one of the pro photographer’s books for the EOS RP. The handling is altogether outstanding. I had forgotten how good Canon’s are to hold, all the controls seem to be in the perfect place, and just… more intuitive than either Nikon or Olympus. I would have liked the rear dial to be a tad larger, but am thankful it’s there and would also like to see 1 or 2 more customizable buttons like Oly and Sony in future releases. The rear thumb rest and release button are both perfect for my hand and aside from not having the on/off switch next to the release, prefer the ergonomics over other systems I’ve used.  I cannot say enough positive things about this product. It is a spectacular device that produces extraordinary pictures. Buy the extended grip as we need it to properly hold and balance the camera. I highly recommend the EOS RP.
